About Us

MuviSafe started with a problem our co-founder faced while watching movies with his children. They wanted to explore more films, but some scenes were not suitable for watching together.

He looked for a way to skip those scenes during family movie nights. When he couldn’t find an option that met his needs, he decided to build MuviSafe.

MuviSafe lets you choose the scenes you don’t want to watch and skip them during playback. You can decide what to skip before the movie starts.

MuviSafe lets you choose scenes to skip in supported Netflix, Prime Video and Apple TV movies and episodes. Open a title, choose your scene filters and select Watch filtered. Sign in and connect your streaming account when prompted, then watch inside the MuviSafe player. The initial connection uses the MuviSafe extension in Chrome on a computer.

We want families to decide what to watch based on their own preferences. MuviSafe provides information about content such as nudity, swearing and drug use, and skips the scenes you choose.

We aim to support filtered viewing for more movies, TV shows and devices.
