Dutch Kijkwijzer ratings and content symbols
Kijkwijzer flags potentially harmful content, rather than recommending what a child will enjoy or understand. An AL documentary can still discuss adult subjects.
Scope: Dutch film, television and on-demand content
Kijkwijzer age labels
| Rating | What it means |
|---|---|
| AL | All ages |
| 6 / 9 | Potentially harmful below the stated age |
| 12 / 14 / 16 | Separate age categories, not one teen rating |
| 18 | Adults only |
Read the symbols alongside the age
Symbols identify violence, fear, sex, discrimination, drugs/alcohol/smoking, coarse language and dangerous challenges. They explain the concern. The age alone cannot tell you whether a title contains sex or frightening scenes.
